I bought my Guild "True American" DC5 about four years ago, used - at a Sam Ash in NJ for about $850.00.
It is in very good shape but not pristine. The electronics work fine.
It is slightly modified - in that the previous owner had put on Schaller Locking Machine Heads - which really make changing strings a lot easier - so that might have bumped the $$$ up a bit. As I remember I was able to negotiate a couple hundred off so the store was originally asking about 1100. That is probably a good ballpark figure for today.
