Gibson Nighthawk
by Victor
I am just curious what the value of this guitar would be. It is used but in good condition. I believe it is a 1995 Gibson Nighthawk with serial number #91058455 located on the back of the neck. It is stamped made in the USA. It is not in the original case. I believe the color is called desert burst.
ANSWER
Hi, Victor--
There were several models of the Nighthawk manufactured during this period. I am going to assume it is the standard. If not, just include more info in the comments section and I will give you further pricing.
Here is the Blue Book general info:
NIGHTHAWK STANDARD (DSNS) - single cutaway mahogany body, bound figured maple top, mahogany neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl parallelogram inlay, strings through bridge, bound blackface peghead with pearl plant/logo inlay, 3-per-side tuners with pearl buttons, gold hardware, 2 humbucker pickups, volume/push-pull tone controls, 5-position switch, available in Fireburst (FI), Trans. Amber (TA), Trans. Red, or Vintage Sunburst (VS) finishes, mfg. 1993-99.
The pricing info:
Mint $1,000 Exc.+ $850 Exc.$725 Avg.+ $625 Avg. $550 General $475
**The pricing is basically the same for all of the models of the Nighthawk.
