Gibson Les Paul Deluxe

by John
(Australia)

I have a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe with a serial number 00134974.
I don't know its age, or value. can you help?

ANSWER

Hi, John--

The serial number indicates that Your guitar was made at the
Kalamazoo or Nashville Plant , USA approximately in: 1970, 1971 or 1972

Here is the Blue Book info:

1970
Mint $3,750
Exc.+$3,000
Exc.$2,500
Avg.+$2,100
Avg.$1,800
General $1,500

1971-1975 $3,000 $2,400 $1,900 $1,500 $1,200 $950

I might be able to find a more specific date if I knew 1. Is "Made in USA" stamped on the headstock? and 2. Is the serial number Impressed into back of headstock OR
Ink Stamped / Decal unto back of headstock?

Lynne
