Gibson J-50 (serial number 232958)

A friend if mine has a Gibson J-50 (s/n 232958) that was purchased in the early '60's by his father. No one in the house ever learned to play, but the father and several sons all banged around on it. It is rather rough looking with many small cosmetic dings everywhere. The back of the box has a crack. The finish is cracked. But it sounds wonderful and I want to buy from him (and he wants to sell it).

The serial number indicates that this guitar was made at the Kalamazoo Plant, USA in 1964.
