Gibson J-45 ADJ 1966

Gibson J-45 ADJ 1966

Hi
What is the blue book or market value of my 1966 J-45 ADJ? It has a relatively narrow neck. The guitar is fine but I cannot claim it to be mint. It has one repaired crack on the top near the bottom, plus assorted nicks and finish wear, and some first postion wear on the fingerboard. A lot of miles on it, but it sounds wonderful.

ANSWER

Hi, Robert--

Here is the Blue Book general info:

J-45
- slope shouldered body, spruce top, round soundhole, tortoiseshell pickguard, three-stripe bound body/rosette, mahogany back/sides/neck, 14/19 (pre-war) or 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, rosewood bridge with black pins, three-per-side nickel tuners with pearl buttons, available in Sunburst finish, mfg. 1942-1985.

The Pricing info:

1965-1968 Round Shouldered
Excellent $2,500 - 3,000
Average $1,650 - 2,000
