Gibson B45-12-N

I'd like confirmation of production year (1964?) and value (resale & insurance.) Sorry about the quality of the serial number (159586) but it's hard to stay under 1MB! Thanks.

ANSWER

Hi, rtill--

The serial number does indicate that your guitar was made at the Kalamazoo Plant, USA in 1964.

Here is the Blue Book general info:

B-45-12/B-45-12N
- slope shouldered large body, spruce top, round soundhole, tortoise pickguard, two-stripe bound body/rosette, mahogany back/sides/neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle, trapeze tailpiece, blackface peghead with pearl split diamond inlay/logo decal, six-per-side nickel tuners with plastic buttons, available in Tobacco Sunburst, Natural and Cherry Sunburst finish, mfg. 1961-1979.

The pricing info:

1962-1964
Excellent $1,650 - 2,000
Average $1,100 - 1,300

Best Wishes,
Lynne

Hi, I just found this site. I saw the serial number in the picture so I thought I'd go look at mine. The number is 100107. Any idea as to year made or value in good condition. It has a sunburst finish and I bought it new I think about 1966. Thanks

Gibson B-45 12-N - 1965
by: Anonymous

Could you possibly tell me the value of the same guitar as above (B-45 12-N) I don't have the serial number handy, but I did look it up and it is a 1965. It, however, matches the description of the 60-70 models you described. It is in excellent condition. I am just curious as to what it's value may be. Thank you so much in advance for your time.

ANSWER

Excellent $1,400 - 1,750
Average $950 - 1,100

Iwas wondering what year this was made and where to get one of the pearl insets?

Thanks Angie
