Fingering Issue

(two measures from Moszkowski's "La Jongleuse")

The fingering given on the second bar of the attached picture for the right hand seems odd (right thumb must go under the second finger on the G to get to a black key- Ab). Is there a reason for this, or is it just a mistake on the editor's part?

ANSWER

Hi, Rex--

It looks fine to me. Slip the thumb under to play Ab, then use 2 and 5 for the Bb and Eb and play the C with 3.

Lift your hand and let the pedal sustain while you get to 2 on the F and then use the same fingering.
