FG 250 yamaha guitar

by wayne
(atlanta,ga)

I bought it 1970s and I don't see it listed or the value. How do I find the reviews?

ANSWER

Hi, Wayne--

The FG 250 is not listed in the Blue Book. Some research indicates that most of the FG-250 guitars found were in Japan. Here's what Yamaha's Web site said:

Year(s) Sold: 1972-74
Top: Spruce
Back / Sides: Indian Rosewood
Neck: African Mahogany
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Bridge: Rosewood
Color(s): Natural
String Length: 637mm
Notes: No MSRP/No US distribution

As far as value, I can only go by the Blue Book prices for similar numbers. Most of these low number FG models are priced around $200.

That does not mean that they are not good guitars--just that collectors are not looking for them at this time.
