ANSWER
Hi again, Robert--
The serial number indicates that Your guitar was made at the Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan in 1987.
This appears to be one of the Strats that was made in Japan and exported to the US during a transition period from 1984 to 1987 when CBS sold Fender to its current owners in 1984.
This period involved limited Fender USA production resulting in mostly Fender Japan and leftover stock being sold.
Most of the Fender Japan guitars do not have the "E" serial numbers. This is a format for serial numbers that was used for USA Fenders. The reason that some of these guitars have "E" format numbers is that they were designated for export to the US during the before mentioned transitional period.
These guitars are not listed in the Blue Book. I did see a few on Ebay for around $600.00.
Hope this helps!
