Fender Stratocaster Floyd Rose serial no. FN202324

I'm sure this pic doesn't help much...
Howdy! I'm curious the estimated value of my strat. It has the "fancy" Floyd Rose tremolo set up with string locking mechanisims at the end of the neck. It's in fairly good condition, slight tarnishing of the chrome pieces, and a thin layer of funk from all the smokey bars we've played in. The previous owner modified the pickups with one humbucker in the bridge, and an extra toggle switch that basically gives me seven tone selections rather than five. A great guitar, till you break a string on stage. Anyhow, I paid $600 for it about five years ago' from a nice, "good ole boy," who may not have known what it was worth. I do know that, by the serial number, that it was destined for overseas, but ended up in Missouri. Didn't know if that affected the value. any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks for your time...

ANSWER
Hi, Mike--
The serial number indicates that the guitar is a U.S made guitar for the export market--made at the Corona Plant (Fender), USA. The year cannot be determined by the serial number.
We can, however, know that the guitar was made sometime between 1992 and 1999 because those were the only U.S. manufacture years for this model.
The Bluebook does not distinguish between years. Here is the pricing info:
Mint $825
Exc.+ $700
Exc.$600
Avg.+ $525
Avg.$450
General $375
The problem is that any alterations or modifications GREATLY reduce the value of the guitar to collectors. Probably by 50% or more.
You may be able to sell it for more, however, to someone who just likes the guitar and is not a collector per se.
Best Wishes,
Lynne
