Is it a run of the mill Fender or is there something special about it?

The serial number indicates that the guitar was manufactured in 1984.

Here is the Blue Book info:

Mint $900
Exc.+$750
Exc.$625
Avg.+$525
Avg.$450
General $375

There is a possibility that it was manufactured a little later--like 1986. Fender Serial numbers tend to not be very specific. If your Guitar says "American Standard", then it is the later manufacture date.

The prices, however, are the same.
