Fender Strat ser # MN 01244

I inherited this from my uncle. He played, and I do as well. I didn't know how old it is. It needs new pots, and maybe pick ups. It is otherwise in excellent condition. I was wondering how much I should invest in it? P.S. how do you collect contributions?
