Fender Jazzmaster 1963
I have a candy apple red, late 1963/early 64 Fender Jazzmaster. I have had it since 1964 & acquired it in Springfield, Ohio as a child from a guitar teacher that supposedly had it custom made with a narrowed neck to fit her hand. Have the original case with the bright orange velvet interior & light tan with black ends. Guitar is in exceptional shape with only a few nicks in the paint. Front of guitar is almost perfect. Nicks are on outside edges. Have never had guitar appraised, but have had several calls in last week or so, wanting to know if I am ready to sell. Can you help me determine value? I am located in Phoenix, Az. ANSWERHere is the Blue Book info: Mint $5,500 Exc.+ $4,500 Exc. $3,700 Avg.+ $3,000 Avg. $2,500 General $2,100 ***Add 20-50% for Dakota Red, Fiesta Red, Candy Apple Red, Olympic White, Sonic Blue, Lake Placid Blue, or Gold Metallic finishes.
