1978(ish) Candy Apple Sunburst, Good condition. Serial No: S860364. Any help with value would be appreciated? I havent seen another in this color.
ANSWERHello, Mark-- Your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): 1977 - 1978 Here is the Blue Book info: JAZZ BASS (CBS MFG. 1965-1981) - offset double cutaway alder body, bolt-on maple neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, four-on-one-side tuners, fixed bridge with string mutes, F logo bridge cover, two J-style pickups, two concentric (v, tone) controls, tortoiseshell/metal pickguard with finger rest, chrome hardware, available in Blonde, Black, Custom Colors, or 3-Tone Sunburst finish, mfg. 1965-1981. 1977-1980 Mint $2,000 Exc+ $1,650 Exc. $1,350 Avg.+ $1,100 Avg. $950 General $800 Add 25% for Dakota Red, Fiesta Red, Candy Apple Red, Olympic White, Sonic Blue, Lake Placid Blue, or Gold Metallic finishes.
