About This Song

"Fat Bottomed Girls" was written by Brian May and is included on two of Queen's albums--"Jazz" and "Greatest Hits".

Since its release, "Fat Bottomed Girls" has been used in television and in films and has been covered by more than a few artists.

About The Drummer

Roger Taylor is said to be one of the most influential drummers of the 70's and 80's. He is also a songwriter and singer.

Besides being the drummer for Queen, Roger has also played with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Roger Daltrey, Robert Plant, Phil Collins, Genesis, Elton John, and Foo Fighters, to name a few.

About This Tab

The song starts with hand claps and the Bass drum and Hi Hat come in on the first Verse. The verse leads into the Chorus with an interesting Flam fill on the Snare and Toms.

The Chorus beat uses a Crash Ride cymbal and has Bass Drum 16ths on 3 beats per measure.

The Chorus is followed by an intro to the next Verse. The fill before the Verse feature more Flam fills and a measure of 2/4.

The next Verse has the same beat as the Chorus, but features a great 32nd note Tom fill before the
last Chorus.

This tab would be suitable for an intermediate to advanced drummer and is fun to play.
