Epiphone Crestwood Custom

by Travis
(Silverthonre, CO, US)

Epiphone Crestwood

Epiphone Crestwood

I am not positive on the model but Im pretty sure.
the serial number is 554946. My dad got it from a friend in the mid 80's who had replaced the tuning pegs and bridge. The pickups pots etc... are all original as far as i know. I replaced the pick guard last year. It is in average condition there are dings and scratches here and there. the finish is spider webbed in cracks from age.

Hi, Travis--

The serial number came back as "unrecognized". From the picture, I was able to find the guitar in the Blue Book. There are two different year ranges. I have included both of them since I cannot validate the exact year from the serial number:

1959-1964
Mint $4,500
Exc.+ $3,700
Exc.$3,200
Avg.+$2,800
Avg.$2,500
General $2,200

1965-1969
$3,500
$3,000
$2,600
$2,300
$2,000
$1,750

***Be aware that the non-original bridge and pick guard will lessen the value 0f the guitar, although I am not not sure of the exact amount.

Lynne

Still curious as to the age?
by: Anonymous

I love the old tool myself, and I even pulled her out of the original case and played some the other day. Only thing wrong is she is missing the lever but I never used it anyway.
I did take it to a music shop in Newport, interesting in that $2000 is what they offered me for it on the spot. I just wanted to know the year?
I decided to keep it and leave it to my grandaughter, she is now playing some although her idea of music is a bit nutty...*LOL**.. Thanks,
*EB

I am trying to determine the year/model of my Guitar. It looks like the photo, mine does not have the bolt on neck. It is serial number 199380, I purchased it used in 1964 for use in my band at the time.
I am getting old, time to sell it for someone who still plays.
Ted
