Drum Triggers--Placement?

by jeremy
(canada)

I'm starting to get a little more serious with my sound and i would like to know if all drum triggers are touch sensitive. Will i get the same sound if i hit my snare hard will the sound be louder than if i was to hit it softer? And also where would be the best place to place the trigger, on top of the head, or in the drum itself?

ANSWER

Hi, Jeremy--

Yes, triggers are pressure sensitive. One of the problems with adhesive triggers has been that they are a bit TOO sensitive.

Triggers are placed ON the head. I have found this set to be a great alternative to adhesive triggers. And they are made by D Drums--always good quality:

**Remember that this set does NOT include cables.
