Does the Size of Guitar Affect Pain in the Left Wrist?

When holding a Guitar I get pain in my left wrist (I am right handed) are there different sizes of guitar to accommodate this?

ANSWER

Hi, John--

The width of the neck may be a factor. Acoustic guitars tend to have smaller necks that Classical and Electric Guitar generally have even smaller necks.

The pain in your wrist, however, may be due to the position of your wrist or it may be just normal strain, especially if you are a beginner.
