D' Agostino Model J2 - Year 1974
by Doug
(Memphis, TN)
This D'Agostino J2 looks similar to a Gibson Southern Jumbo (SJ-200) acoustic guitar. I can find very little information on it. I bought it new when I was about 14. It is in very good condition just played around the house and a few light gigs. It is easy to play and sounds great.
ANSWER
Hi, Doug--
Here is what the Blue Book says about these guitars:
Instruments produced in Italy by the EKO company between 1978 and 1982. After 1982, instruments were produced in Japan (then later Korea). Instrument production was contracted to the EKO custom shop in Milwaukee, WI. Distributed by PMS Music of New York, NY. Used guitars are typically priced between $150 and $300.
