CF Martin DM Mahogany Dreadnought Sunburst

Hi:
I recently acquired this guitar and it is in great shape and has an incredible tone. The research I have done so far does not show me any DM model that has a natural sunburst finish. The label reads CF Martin DM Mahogany Dreadnougt. It is a sunburst and the serial number is 669342. It also has a factory installed pickup. What is it worth and what year was it made?

ANSWER

Hi, Cliff--

The serial number indicates a 1999 manufacture date.

For some reason, the DM Mahogany is not listed in the Blue Book. I was able to find one on the internet that sold for $500.00. It was not a sunburst.

My guess is that this guitar may have been a special order, considering the finish and the factory installed pickup.
