Martin D 28 1967
This guitar has been passed down from generation to generation and has been taken care of. Its beautiful and we are interested in finding out the value of it. The year at the top says 1833 C & F Martin & Co. Nazareth PA.
I think it say 0-28 or D-28 (not sure which) but the serial number is 2294370. I have included a picture of it as well. Could you help me figure out the value?
ANSWER
Hi, Cindy--
It is definitely a D-28. The serial number has too many digits. Martin serial numbers have 6 digits at the most. If I leave off the final 0, the year is 1967. If I leave off the first 2, the year is 1972. Maybe you could take another look at the serial number or choose what year seems right to you.
