Bently Series 10

by bob dloe .sr
(newport, oh, usa)

ANSWER

Hi, Bob--

Bently guitars are only briefly mentioned in the Blue Book:

"Instruments previously manufactured in Asia between circa 1985 and 1998. Distributed in the U.S. by St. Louis Music in St. Louis, MO.
St. Louis Music imported Bently instruments as their entry-level to medium quality solid body guitar and bass line. Most models featured designs based on classic American favorites. In 1998, SLM discontinued the Bently line when they introduced the Austin line. Bently guitars are usually found priced between $50 and $100 on the used market."

I did find a website that has a discussion of the Series 10, including the prices that some have paid:

Harmony Central

Hope this gives you some idea.

Lynne

BENTLY Series 10 Bat shaped guitar
by: D.L.Correll

I'm still trying to find informtion on my blue Bently solid body guitar that's shaped like a flying Bat with 2 Humbucker? pickups. Plays beautiful & in good condition. From the 1980s?
I live in Logansport,Indiana and would appreciate any information about this particular
model as I've never seen one like it. Could it be a special made instrument?
My telephone number is in the local telephone book.
THANK YOU FOR THIS SITE!
