ANEA electric guitar
by Rick
(Minnesota)
ANEA guitar and case
It is supposedly a 1981 ANEA by Daion
It is a quality made guitar with a Kahler cam operated tremolo and their string set system
The guitar is in great condition and plays great.
There is one other ANEA for sale in Winter Park, FLA but it is a strat style.
I have the original case also.
ANSWER
Hi, Rick--
I could find no specific info about this model. The Blue Book says only this about Daion guitars:
"Instruments previously built in Japan from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s. Some guitars may also carry the trademark of Joodee or Yamaki. Distributed by MCI, Inc. of Waco, TX. Originally, these Japanese-produced high quality guitars were based on popular U.S. designs in the 1970s, but turned to original designs in the 1980s. The Daion logo was applied to a range of acoustic, semi-hollowbody, and solid body guitars and basses. Some Daion headstocks also feature a stylized tuning fork logo."
There is ONE style listed in the Blue Book, but it is an ES-335 style:
HEADHUNTER HH-555 - ES 335 style, semi-hollowbody, dip in the lower bout by strap peg, various finishes, mfg. late 1970s to mid-1980s.
Mint $900 Exc.+ $750 Exc. $650 Avg.+ $550 Avg. $475 General $400
