Andres Martin #407
by Sue
(Renton, WA USA)
I would like to find the value of my father's classical guitar that was made in Spain. I would say it is in mint condition and has a hard shell case.
The label inside has:
Constructor Andres Martin divino pastor, 22
#407 (in ink) 1963 (in ink)
very small near bottom right J. Romero
ANSWER
Hi, Sue--
This is a tough one--these guitars are not listed in the Blue Book, nor could I find much about them on the internet.
I did find one 1959 Andres Martin--Brazilian Rosewood--for sale. It is said to have been appraised at $3500.00 in 1995.
Here is the link to the page about that guitar:
1959 Andres Martin
Maybe that site would have some ideas for you.
The J. Romero part is puzzling, as J. Romero is known as a maker of fine banjos.
Sorry I could not be of more help.
Lynne
