American Fender Stratocaster
by chad
(Frederick, MD)
Hello, I would like to find out the value of my guitar?
The serial number is E350025, but I checked the heel date on the neck and It reads 2/24/87. It is made in u.s.a. Thanks.
ANSWER
Hi, Chad--
I am not sure what the date on the neck means. Have you had the guitar from its beginning? Is it possible that the neck was replaced?
I am asking this because the serial number indicates that Your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): 1982 - 1985
After checking the Blue Book, I was able to determine that the guitar was manufactured in 1983-1985 because of the silver logo (Thanks for the pic!)
In any case, here is the Blue Book info:
STANDARD STRATOCASTER (CBS MFG. 1983-85) - alder body, 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot or rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, four-bolt neckplate, small peghead with silver logo, chrome-plated die-cast tuners, "Freeflyte" vibrato tailpiece, single-ply white pickguard, chrome hardware, three single coil exposed pickups, two knobs (v, tone), three-position switch, available in the following Standard Colors: Black, Brown Sunburst, Cherry Sunburst, Natural, Sienna Sunburst, or White finish, and the following Custom Colors: Aztec Gold, Candy Apple Green, Emerald Green, Mocha Brown, Pewter, Ruby Red or Sapphire Blue finish, mfg. 1983-85.
