Airline 2P
I'm pretty sure it's a "2P", but the "pickguard" on this thing is unlike anything I've seen anywhere. Don't have the serial# on me right now, and all I have is a cell phone pic I took the other day. But it seems unusual enough that this pic will narrow things down... Condition I'd rate at 8 out of 10 Playability is a SOLID 10 (Unbelievable!!!!) Thanks for your time!!!!
ANSWER
Hi, Rev. V--
Definitely and unusual guitar--thanks for the pic. Here is what the Blue Book says in general about the Airline Electrics:
"Due to the large number of guitar models, our listings have been broken down into the different pickup types. Within each type, there will be guitars with various features and finishes, but they will generally follow the same pricing line."
This is the pricing info for the 2 pickup solid bodies:
SOLID BODY DOUBLE PICKUP - solid body, various features, two pickups, more advanced controls, usually four knobs, mfg. late 1950s-1960s.
Mint $900 Exc.+ $650 Exc. $525 Avg.+ $425 Avg. $350 General $275
