I have a 1985 Gibson J35e I was wondering the value of it? It is stamped on the back Michigan and Nashville. The guy at the music store said they usually aren't stamped that way. it has square shoulders.
ANSWERHi, Ty--
There is no J-35 E listed in the Blue Book. Here is the general info for the J 35:
J-35 (1985-87 MFG.)
- spruce top, round soundhole, tortoiseshell pickguard, three-stripe bound body/rosette, maple back/sides/neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, rosewood reverse bridge with white black dot pins, blackface peghead with screened logo, three-per-side tuners with plastic buttons, available in Cherry Sunburst finish, mfg. 1985-87.
The pricing info:
Excellent $850 - 1,000
Average $475 - 550
I don't know why it would be stamped that way. Maybe some of our readers will have more info.
