The "Jazz Special" Fender bass made in Japan during this period has some unique qualities. Some players love this bass because it was the first Fender bass to have the "best of both worlds.....Jazz neck, bridge AND neck PU's and a light feel. Duff McKagan, formerly of 'Guns n Roses' was one of it's popularizers.... Some models had active electronics, as well. It is a very serviceable bass for the money. Dan Thanks, Dan! Lynne
