1979 gibson les paul km

1979 gibson les paul km

hello i have a rare and in great shape 1979 gibson les paul k.m. this is a solid 9.5 out of 10 condition the guitar is all original even has the custom made plate that only came with the the first few that were produced it was a limited run of only 1500 made.

The guitar has dual cream t-top pick ups and is a tobacco burst in color the guitar sound amazing its a sure collector piece that will only go up in value.

The custom made plate you see in the pic is 100% original from gibson ( people always ask) but you can do research online and confirm it if you like. Its Very rare to find this guitar and plate still together most plates are lost and like i mentioned only a limited quantity came with this plate.

This was one of the last LPs produced in the Kalamazoo, Michigan factory, on the old machines, by the old craftsmen. this guitar has all natural aging the petina look amazing it all blends great together

1979 Les Paul Spuce top Klamazoo model
by: Damian Pace

I had stolen from me in 2001 a 1979 Les Paul Spruce top Kalamazoo model.I bought it in 1985 In White Plains NY.It was a triburst spruce top and who ever had it before me had "truth knowledge wisdom" engraved in the neck pickup and longitude-latitude numbers that corresponded to an island in the phillipines.Has anyone ever seen another Les Paul with a spruce top or this one.It was like no other Les Paul Any info on this guitar or anything about the production of this guitar, please email userpa4189@aol.com.

les paul km

I have a 1979 KM sunburst that sounds great but had to replace hardware over the years. I hd it re-fretted 15 yrs ago, replaced tuning heads, and replaced pick-ups with Semore Duncan PAF-59 humbuckers, and replaced nut.I have original pick-ups but cant find original tuning heads. The custom made plate is still on guitar below bridge.Played this guitar so much that the finish is almost completely worn off of the neck.I would like to know how much this affects the value of my guitar.I had no choice but to replace hardware because it would not stay in tune and frets were so worn that they would not sound notes properly and they were beyond filing.
