- single cutaway multi-bound mahogany body, carved top, raised bound pickguard, mahogany neck, 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, multi-bound blackface peghead with pearl diamond/logo inlay, 3-per-side tuners with plastic buttons, gold hardware, 2 low impedance pickups, mic volume control on upper bass bout, volume/decade/treble/bass controls, two 3-position switches, phase slide switch, available in Walnut finish, approx. 370 mfg. 1969-1973.

just a comment on the les paul personal, i have over 100 high end guitars, several real les paul sunbursts, nocasters, les paul customs, many archtops, etc, and when i got my 69 personal it changed the playing field. that guitar into my mesa preamp then into a 65 blackface princeton reverb has changed everything. it is hands down my best sounding playing guitar of all of them, including the 400K plus bursts. really. so if you can find an unmolested one, buy immediatley. if you want to sell me one, get hold of me. they are the most understated electric guitar ever made. they are so rare most have never seen or heard one, so that is why they are so undervalued. my opinion owning many high end instruments.
