What is approx worth?

ANSWER

Sometimes this is really fun! If this is your guitar:

STRATOCASTER WITH ROSEWOOD FINGERBOARD (PRE-CBS, MFG. 1959-1964)
- Similar to Stratocaster, except has rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, 3-ply white pickguard, mfg. 1959-1964.

This is the Blue Book info:

Mint $27,500
Exc.+ $20,000
Exc. $16,000
Avg. +$12,500
Avg. $10,000
General $7,500

But there is MORE good news:

Add $8,000 - $10,000 for custom colors.
In 1960, some models were issued with tortoiseshell pickguards, but this was not a standard practice, and Burgundy Mist, Candy Apple Red, Daphne Blue, Foam Green, Inca Silver, Shell Pink, Sonic Blue and Surf Green finishes became an option. In July, 1962, rosewood veneer fingerboard replaced original parts/design.

'63 Natural Strat L01855
by: Anonymous

HI Folks, I've just discovered that the strat I've loved playing since 1966 is a 1963 model. It has a natural finish, that is, lacquered natural wood about which the kid (in 1966!) I got it from said "That's the way it came. Did Fender make any natural guitars then? Does this add or subtract form the the going price?

Thanks,
J. Shulman

a 63 red sparkle is very very very rare and so much expensive... an original one could be sold for 60000$ or more, depend of the market, buyer and offers, do you have pics?

thanks
