1963 (?) Fender Jaguar
by David
(Fresno CA)
I am curious about the value of this guitar. I recently saw a similar Jaguar for sale for $7,000 and was wondering how accurate that was. The serial # is L23029. Although there are a some nicks in the paint, the guitar has not been played much over the years. My father got it as a gift when he was in high school, but never had an amp, so it mostly sat in a case. It was then given to me who used it for maybe 7-8 years before I left in in the case for the last 7 years. It is all original and has the classic sunburst finish, including the original orange velvet case. ANSWERHi, David-- The serial number indicates that your guitar was made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - Pre CBS Era), USA in the Year 1964. Here is the Blue Book Pricing: 1963-1964 Mint $5,000 Exc.+$3,750 Exc. $3,000 Avg.+$2,400 Avg. $2,000 General $1,600 Lynne
