The biggest capacitors have been replaced with Sprague blue atoms, the smaller ones are mustard colored astrons (orginal)
Original Jensen speaker p10r with bell cover, original two-prong power cord, original victoria luggage company cover (kinda beat up, but fully intact), original RCA one-button footswitch, all knobs, lights are working and original. Tubes are RCA 5Y3 and two JAN Philips 6V6s, working and original, leather handle is beat-up but original and you can lift the amp with it and it doesn't seem like it's going to break.
Tweed is marked up here and there but overall in very good condition, especially the front and back. The one side is perfect, the other has a thin white line marking it (can't tell if it's a scratch or just a hairline of white paint, but I think it's paint), bottom is in nice shape including the round glides. Inside the cabinet looks and smells fresh, clean and wonderful. Tube chart is intact and totally readable. Compared to what I've seen of other amps of the era I've seen, I'd say it's an excellent example of a 1960 Fender Vibrolux.
Interested to hear your appraisal!
ANSWERHi, Anthony--
Here is the Blue Book General info:
VIBROLUX (NARROW PANEL)
- 10W, 1-10 in. Jensen, tube chassis, preamp: 2 X 12AX7, power: 2 X 6V6, 5Y3 rectifier, tremolo, top black control panel, three inputs, four pointer knobs (v, tone, s, d), diagonal tweed covering, brown tweed-era grille, mfg. 1954-1961.
The early variations were Model 5E11. Model 5F11 featured three inputs, and the four controls.
The pricing info:
Excellent $2,400 - 3,000
Average $1,500 - 1,900
Precise evaluation is not possible without seeing the amp, but from the description, I would guess it to be in Low Excellent condition.
